Clip started popping open and it was awful trying to get it replaced Color: The "Aero Red" color is a true red. The arrow pattern is not silver - it's gray, about the same darkness as the red, and very thin. This means it doesn't stand out at all - you don't even notice it unless you're really up close to it. I bought a custom collar a while back. My dog wore it for about a year before the clasp started popping open easily. My dog is only 30lbs, so not a huge strong thing, but if she pulled very hard the collar would just pop open and she would suddenly be free (which could be very dangerous). I've seen other reviews complaining about this, so I contacted customer service via email message (on 8-15-2017) to tell them about the problem and to ask if this was a typical issue with the collars. They assured me it wasn't and told me to pick a new collar color and they would send me a new one to replace mine. I chose Aero Red. I double checked with them that this was a true red and not a magenta (like some pictures show). When I told them I decided on Aero Red, they then said that it was out of stock in the size Medium (which I needed) and they told me to pick a different color. I told them my original collar had been a custom collar (I had paid more for it) so I asked if they could build me a medium out of the webbing used for the other sizes. They asked for my original order number to make sure I'd had a custom order before. I gave it to them and then they said they'd build and send me the same collar I'd originally gotten (not the Aero Red). At this point, I was just annoyed on principle because I'd spent days going back and forth with them about the new collar and THEY had told me to pick a new color. I sent them a message saying this. I still hadn't gotten a response from them when I received a fedex tracking email. I emailed them again saying I hoped they hadn't sent a collar already since I had told them that's not what they originally said they'd do for me. They got back to me and said they'd follow through with their original offer. (That first package never came, so I'm assuming they were able to get it back.) By this point, the Aero Red was available again in the Medium. Days passed with no collar showing up and no new email with tracking information. I emailed them again asking if my ticket had been forgotten and letting them know that the collar was back in stock in the Medium, so if they still hadn't made it, it would be easy to send it to me from stock. I got a response saying they would send it out and I would get it within about a week. A day or two later I got the tracking email, and I just received the collar yesterday (9-12-2017). After going through all of that, the arrows on the collar are hardly visible even up close, and the collar is missing the reflective threading that's supposed to go all along the edges! At this point, I'm so sick of dealing with their customer service that I'm not even going to try getting that fixed. So now I'm not even very happy with the color because it looks so different from how the picture showed it, there isn't even reflective thread on it, and I've had to wait a MONTH for all of this to take place. It's been enough of a pain that I wouldn't recommend this collar to people - if your clasp starts popping open you won't want to deal with their customer service. It truly seemed like I had a different customer service rep answer each of my messages and no one was reading the previous messages for context. Chaco is great at sandals, but this process with the collar just sucked.

great design, webbing thinner? So I have used both the original Chaco collar and the custom one now. I have two dogs and we had one of the old design for the older, less rambunctious dog, and now both pups have a custom collar. I decided to get them new custom ones because this is the best design collar I have found on the market. It is the only one I've seen with a tag loop and a strong, secure plastic buckle. There are two things I'm disappointed about with the new custom collars though. They took away the reflective strips and overall the webbing seems thinner. So far, the collars are still holding up as well as the old one (which lasted through a whole lot!) but we will see if they can keep going. I'm confused about why Chaco is thinning out their webbing, it seems like they're doing it across the board.

Nice quality collar We bought the small collar for our Corgi puppy and we were impressed with the quality. The snap buckle made the collar easy to use. We will buy the next size once our puppy grows.
