Last weekend, one of the most anticipated events of the year was finally upon us: the Electric Forest Festival. With the festival being in such close proximity to Chaco headquarters, we journeyed into the forest of Rothbury, Michigan for a thrilling weekend of music, dancing, yoga, hammocks, and of course, Chacos!

Electric Forest is a camping festival, an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in a different environment for an entire weekend and forget your worries of the outside world. The forest has a lot to offer, and not just at night when the music brings everyone into the woods. You can find anything from vendors selling clothing and food, to giant Jenga and Connect 4 hidden between the trees, a full barbershop, dancing festival-goers, an outdoor library full of books, and glittery human toy soldiers passing out candy.

Just like #ChacoNation, the community at Electric Forest is open and welcoming to anyone who enters the front gate. Festival-goers of all ages and backgrounds make their way to Rothbury to soak up the experience of Electric Forest. We loved meeting new people, especially our friendly campsite neighbors, the generous Keys N Krates fans who shared their glow sticks with us, and the bubbly Chaco wearing t-shirt vendor.

At the core of the Electric Forest experience were artists like: Greensky Bluegrass, Major Lazer, DJ Mustard, Baauer, and the Disco Biscuits. On Friday night, Keys N Krates were definitely a Chaco team favorite. However, Bassnectar and the String Cheese Incident put on an incredible show Saturday night with fireworks, lasers, and fire-shooters to keep the crowd going well into the night.

It was dusty and muddy, but a great weekend with #ChacoNation and our Forest Family. Now we have headed home to wash our Chacos before embarking on our next adventure to Forecastle Festival in Louisville, KY. We hope to see you there, #ChacoNation!
