Broken past wearable after 3 months

I've coveted Chaco's for years and always held off on buying them due to price. About 3 months ago, I got a pair as a gift. I absolutely love them and would be the biggest Chaco fan if not for major breakage to the right sandal that occurred through 3 months of normal use. My right shoe's sole has peeled off from the front to past halfway down the sole. When I walk in them, it flaps around. I have not used them since because I don't want to make it worse. Sure they've been to Yosemite a few times, but I've treated these sandals well. I've submitted a customer survey form and will update this review with relevant information about the customer service process.

Long time customer very disappointed

I have been a loyal Chaco customer for 18 years. My first 2 pairs lasted for over 7 years. I am exceptionally disappointed in the switch to the “Chaco sole” from the Vibrum. The sole on my last purchased pair split in half on both sandals in less than a year and a half. I returned them to get a replacement and now the sole on my replacement pair are starting to split and show excessive wear. I love Chacos and the way they fit and I am very disappointed that I may have to search out a new active sandal as the durability and integrity of the product is no longer worth the expense.

Disappointed

My first pair of Chacos were amazing and lasted me 5 years before they started falling apart. My expectations were high... I thought I was getting the same exact pair, but I was wrong and I have to constantly adjust the straps or else they will dig into my big toes. I wore them for about a week thinking I would "break them in" that never happened. I can't believe I paid $105 for shoes that hurt my feet

Bummer! You can usually alleviate the toe tightening with a quick cycle in the washing machine. Put them in a gentle setting with a load of towels and air-dry only. This should do the trick! If the discomfort continues please give the team a call at 888.211.9211 ext 2. Thank you.

Love these shoes! It takes some getting used to adjusting the straps but very comfortable!!
