I usually take a 10.5 in a regular sneaker, but found the 10 to be too big and am gonna have to go down to a 9.

Great purchase - by , Sep 18, 2019

I loved the shoes and they were just as I expected. They were a perfect gift. My only complaint would be about the order status. My order status said shipped way before my item shipped. I would have preferred a more accurate status. I understand that they are custom made shoes; however I would have like the status to have reflected if they shoes were still processing or actually shipped.

Customizing Chacos is the best option for me. - by , Sep 18, 2019

I have customized the last 4 pair of Chacos I've purchased. It seems to me the best way to go. The price is not that much more and you get EXACTLY the style you want - and you know you're going to keep them a long time- so get what you want instead of what is available to everyone else! People ask me all the time. "where did you get those Chacos?" And I say "I designed them!"

No Bueno - by , Sep 11, 2019

This is my 8th-ish pair of Chacos and I always order a decorative strap color. This time I went with a custom order with a single color strap. The sandals constantly loosen up. It feels like the buckle won't grab the strap material as it is too smooth. Basically you have to tighten them every 5 min or so. Bummed. I wish I could them re-strapped with a different strap. Love Chacos and I've been wearing them for 15+ years.

There is an easy fix for that! Sometimes putting them in the washing machine to get rid of the extra slickness on the webbing will do the trick. Just be sure to let them air dry. If the discomfort continues please feel free to contact the team at 888.211.9211 ext 2. Thank you.

It was so much fun to get to customize a pair of Chaco's to make them a special gift. Highly recommended. I received them about a month ago and have been wearing them everywhere. Super comfortable and really nice traction hiking out to rock climb. Love the new Chacos!

Hey Chaco, I bought my first pair of Chacos in 2002. Last I saw them in 2018 they were still going! I gave them away. Just for a little change I bought another pair in maybe 2010. The riser on those broke after a few years. So I bought another pair in maybe 2014. The riser on those broke this spring. I think Chacos are the best sandal ever made and I can't live without mine! But it seems the riser might be a weak link in the design and manufacture. I bought a used pair on Ebay so I would always have a backup! I always opted for a new pair because the soles were basically worn anyway. I would never consider having anything else but Chacos! I love my new pair!

Does not stay tight - by , Sep 07, 2019

I have owned many pairs of Chacos the last 15 years and this is the first pair I have ever had a problem with. The strap that goes through the buckle is thinner than it used to be (I compared it to my previous pair) and it does not stay tight. As a result, I have to tighten them every few minutes or just deal with them being loose. This is quite frustrating if hiking or walking a lot (both of which I do in my Chacos during the summer). I noticed the materials are now imported for the custom version, perhaps they are using lower quality materials than they used to. Sadly, I am very disappointed...I hope this problem gets solved or I will need to seek out another brand.

We're bummed to hear about the issue! We recommend washing your Z/Series sandals in your washing machine. Washing them in cold water, on a gentle cycle, with a mild detergent, and then allowing them to air dry should remove any of the film on the webbing that allows the sandals to self adjust. If this doesn't help, please give our ReChaco team a call at 888-211-9211 ext.

Let’s hope these last longer then my last pair - by , Sep 05, 2019

3 stars because of what happened to my first. This will be my second pair of chacos z/1 clouds. My first pair was purchased a year ago and at this point, the sole of the right shoes adhesive has failed. Only 2 inches of the toe and about the back half are attached, as in you can see through it. The straps have worn through in some places and you can see the multi colored strands inside. There are large deep cracks all around the area the straps go and generally they are just falling apart. I know many people that have chacos that are 5 years old and I’m very disappointed that after just a year they have gotten to the point I can’t wear them. I contacted the warranty department and was told that they probably won’t cover it, and I’d have to pay shipping both ways if so. It’s a shame because I’ve been so vocal about others getting chacos. (At least 5 of the lifeguards I work with have gotten them because of what I’ve said) but if the same thing happens again, I don’t plan on getting another pair even though I really like them. I’d appreciate it if someone emails me regarding this.
