Men's Customizable Men's Z/1 Sandal

For over the past decade, I live in Chacos for about 8 months of the year! The fit has always been great and they offer good arch support. I have multiple pairs and love that I can choose different soles depending on what I'm doing.

I have a new sweet custom pair of Chacos. All spring and summer I kept looking for a pair in stores, but nobody had my size in a design I liked. My ten year old pair were becoming thread bare and weren't presentable for public. They had stood up to five summers of CSA weeding and harvesting, but I could no longer wash out the dirt stained webbing, so I hopped on line and ordered my new Z1 pair. Blues soles, straps with a blue pattern , and blue buckles. I loved them the moment they arrived. The two week wait was worth it. When fall rolls in I'll be sending in the farm sandals for new straps. Such a great way to reuse and reduce.

Don't get me wrong, I am a total Chaco head. These babies work great for versitile activities. However, I was disappointed that Chaco had not boarded the yellow trend yet.

I appreciated the ability to still obtain the Vibram Colorado soles which I consider the best feature from my original Chacos. Unfortunately, they are no longer available in stores but at least I could custom order them. Since custom orders can't be returned, it's a good thing I had the size of my original Chacos to go by otherwise I would not have risked ordering them.

I have a 15 year old pair of Chacos that have the thicker straps with round edges. These new straps are thinner with stiff sharp edges that cut into my skin. It took a lot of adjusting to make it better.

I was a little nervous as to what the straps would look like given that I uploaded what I wanted the straps to look like. They did not disappoint in the slightest. They look awesome and I wear them with pride. I love my Chacos so I was not worried about comfort or fit. I did go without on the toe loop and was curious as to how it would feel to give my big toe some freedom, but they’re great and much easier to slip on and off. Plus I can wear them with sox which means I can wear them even when it’s colder out. Very happy with my purchase on the Z1 classic custom.

My first pair lasted 11 years. I had to get the custom made ones to get the same sole that had previously come as standard. I'm super happy with these sandals, and I expect they will last me just as long as my last ones. I had previously tried many sandals, these are very comfortable, they look great, and they are by far, the highest quality sandals you can buy.

I wore out my first pair of of custom Chacos. Bought a second one to get me by while the first one is being reChacoed. I live in these things.

I’ve just spent 5 days canoeing the Penobscot river in Maine and I wouldn’t have done it in any other shoe. In and out of the water I was always sure of my footing. I never changed shoes, because my Chacos did it all. Water shoes, paddling shoes, hiking shoes, camp shoes, I did it all in Chacos. The new chacogrip is extremely good, I never slipped once when climbing on wet granite shelves.
