Excellent quality and craftsmanship. This is my second pair. Wore my other pair out. I especially appreciate the arch support.

Great but runs big - by , Apr 30, 2020

These are awesome & I love em but they are yuge. I’m usually an 11.5 to a 13 so I order a wide 12. Width seems fine but then I got an 11 still too big. Hoping a 10 will be the right fit.

my first Chaco Z1 - by , Oct 26, 2019

I ordered the Z1 classic in size 9 wide but size 8 wide would probably have fit as well. They are about 1 inch longer than my feet. Here are the dimensions of size 9 wide: L=28.5cm=11.25in W=12cm=4.75in weight of one sandal =19.6oz Chaco should publish actual dimensions for their sandals. I have worn them almost everyday since buying them in July. After walking an average of two miles each day I would recommend the following changes: 1 increase the width and depth of the cuts in the cross hatch pattern on the footbed. 2 reduce the height of the outside ridge where the heelrise webbing is attached. The ridge on that side is too tall and rubs against the side of my heel.

Too narrow for my extra wide feet - by , Sep 13, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
I'd really hoped that the wide sizes offered would work for my extra wide feet, but alas, even the wide was too narrow. That's too bad because I really wanted to support this company. So 4 stars for the company, but only 2 for the fit because the sandals were fairly uncomfortable for my feet. : \

Wanted to Love 'Em! - by , Sep 12, 2019

Wanted to love this shoe but couldn't (YET). Quite simply, a little clunky. Perhaps the "cloud" footbed is a little more light and supple, but the standard footbed feels heavy and stiff. I bought them online, and probably would have benefited from trying a pair on. Perhaps I'll get used to it! My daughter loves Chacos, has multiple pairs, and has worn them for years. I will say that the quality and construction are unparalleled. Shipping time was much less than advertised or reasonably expected.

Got rid of all other sandals. - by , Nov 09, 2018

This is the 3rd set of Chacos I have. The wide width made all the difference for me. They have been comfortable through a full day of wear.

Best longest lasting sandal ever - by , Oct 21, 2018

Long time wearer of the Z/1 line and cannot imagine ever wearing another brand again! Both Terreno and Unaweep outsoles were very durable and rugged for dry use, and the Colorado outsole was always the best for wet use. My most recent pair is finally in need of replacement, after over 5 years of use around the world in just about any situation one could imagine. My only "gripe" over all these years was sand/dirt getting trapped in the midsole making adjustment of the strap a bit difficult if it wasn't "flossed" periodically, but this is expected.

Relief after disappointment - by , Aug 14, 2018

This sandal fit pretty well. The one I had wanted which was the sandal with the toe loop, was too narrow even in the wide form where I felt the bumps of the sandals. I was incredibly disappointed as I had wanted a pair of chacos to work. Finally I tried the model without the toe loop and it was more forgiving. I could wear it! I dont even have a wide foot so I dont understand how the design is determined but I was glad I was able to find a pair that could work. They are well made, heavy and sturdy , all things that I love.
