We get 5 to 8 miles a day in desert conditions. Almost no break in period for my chacos and I recommend them to all my friends. Excellent product!

I liked the idea of the wider straps (which are in fact just a hair over 30mm, despite being described as 35mm in some places) but wasn't so sure about the metal buckle. Turns out the wider straps really are more comfortable. The metal buckle seems like it might be very slightly more prone to slippage than the plactic ones, but it hasn't been an issue after a couple of weeks of active use. I haven't gone wading through any strong currents in these yet, though...
