These are very comfortable! I highly recommend these Chaco's. As a matter of fact, I'm buying them again for a different person. Very comfortable!

Best shoe ever; new cheaper sole can be replaced with a Vibram I own 4 pairs and my wife and 3 daughters all wear these and love them. The only negative is the change to Chaco soles, which are much inferior to the Vibram, as many have noted with dismay. Here is are two easy solutions if this is an issue for you, as it was for me: 1) you can get custom Chacos for not that much more money, and specify Vibram soles. 2) You can send for repair to the company a pair with the Chaco soles and have them replace the sole with a Vibram. I've done both. I'm sure Chaco has its reasons for the change, but I am glad that they left the option for the Vibrams for those of us that prefer that sole, and hope that option is preserved in the future.

Just ordered my second pair! Went on a 2 year trip to Fiji, and walked the soles off my Yampas. Amazing shoes, great in any condition. They do get a bit slippery in the mud, but what shoe doesn't. Don't let that fool you though, these are made to last! I probably put over 400 hiking miles on my first pair. Stylish, perform, and bulletproof. If I had any feedback from a consumers standpoint it would be looking into potential use of siping in the outsole. Thoughts Chacos?

Ok but good Took a bit for my feet to get used to having the straps wear on them, especially on the outer heel area. I had a little bit of trouble with the circulation getting cut out of my big toe, but once I got used to adjusting the straps this wasn't an issue. I had seen other people hike in these sandals and thought they were crazy, now I understand. The sole is very thick and durable. Having the big toe strap really keeps the sandal anchored to your foot, especially when hiking on uneven terrain. My only real complaint is that these sandals seem too big. Theres a pretty good distance from my toes and the edge of the sandals. I couldn't find anything on the site to verify if this was an appropriate fit,, and after looking at their social media profiles you could see there is a pretty big range for how people wear these sandals and what is considered well sized or not. I just ordered another pair with my REI dividend an entire size smaller to see how that fits. I ignored other comments on the site to order a smaller size and wish I hadn't.
