Not for my husband - by , Oct 05, 2019

Thought these would be perfect for the transition between summer Chaco’s and winter wear. Unfortunately, the left shoe just wasn’t comfortable. It felt too narrow.

Not what I was really expecting, but I wanted them to be good. - by , Oct 02, 2019

I really wanted these to be good. These are advertised as a closed toe version of the normal Z sandals which I love, but in reality they are not anywhere near the same thing. While the straps are the same layout, the foot bed is made of foam covered in a felt-like material that has a very different feel from the normal rubber sole, while providing less support and causing hot spots from the felt. I also got blisters from the heel rubbing no matter how much I tightened the laces. They are uncomfortable to wear without socks and too hot to wear with socks. I would not recommend.

Excellent product, feels durable. - by , Sep 18, 2019

As a major Chaco addict, these were a must-try. I’ve long wanted closed-toe Chacos that still featured a permanently solid built-in footbed. I need the support they offer. It beats every other brand of non-prescription orthotic I’ve tried. The truth is these look amazing, feel amazing (like wearing cozy socks) and seem to be made to last. My only concern is that my feet sweat actively in these in the summer months, however I expected that and will find a balance between cleaning and wearing. I haven’t tried the Odyssey line, however I think these are honestly very comfy and fit perfectly in my Chaco collection. I would recommend them to anyone. They won’t replace your classic Z sandals, but they will be great for alternating and perfect for serious closed-toe situations or fall/winter weather. Thanks for reading, love the brand.

Comfortable and great - by , Sep 11, 2019

Hard to slip on. Also unsure if because they are like regular chaco sandals do I wear with or with out socks due to the built in sock-like feature.

You can wear them with or without, totally up to you!

More material = more contact points/hot spots - by , Sep 09, 2019

Sadly, the sock design has a seam right at the back of the ankle that creates an abrasive area. I’ve put hundreds of miles on my z cloud chacos, but tried this model for the added toe protection. I’m not sure if it’s worth the cost of not being able to wear these barefooted due to the constant and uncomfortable sock seam. I suppose if I just wear socks it will help, but that kid of defeats the point. Pretty disappointed, especially for $130.

SO disappointed! Not for you if you have thick ankles. - by , Aug 28, 2019

I LOVE my Z/Cloud sandals and purchased these looking for a wintertime option w/the LuvSeat footbed. I wear a Women's 12 but had to get a Men's 11. I was happy to see the sock was more gray than lavender as it appeared online, but I was bitterly disappointed when I tried and tried and TRIED to put them on. I broke a sweat getting the sock/liner/thingy over my thick ankles. While the footbed is every bit as comfortable as the Z/Cloud sandals, the sock liner was so tight around my ankles, they left marks in my flesh after only about 2 minutes of wear around my house. I had hoped to wear these with socks in the cold months here in Utah but with as difficult as it was to put them on without socks, wearing with socks would be absolutely impossible. I'm so disappointed. I am still desperate for closed-toe shoes that give support like Z/Cloud sandals. These have already been returned. Sad day!

I own many of Chacos footwear but my Ronins are my favorite due to comfort style and all around versatility. I'm completely happy with my purchase. - by , Aug 27, 2019

Comfy, solid, cool look - by , Aug 27, 2019

I love Chacos and this new design did not disappoint. Great for closed- toe situations in which you want the comfort of sandals. Very supportive soles. Looks really good. Only thing I do not love is that it takes a little longer to put them on due to the integrated “sock”. In other words, they are not as easily slipped on as usual, it requires two hands to pull the sock on.
