Great Fathers Day Present - by , Jun 26, 2016
4/ 5 Stars
I got these for my dad. He loves them. They fit very well. He's a size 10 1/2, so a 10 W fit him very well.

All around great sandal - by , Jun 26, 2016

Takes a few times to break in (as do any new pair of footwear). I normally wear a 12M but had to order a wide as the normal width was rubbing on my inner and out heel. The wide did the trick. Worked great in the river!

I have loved Chaco's for years. The only sandal I buy - by , Jun 22, 2016

I have a wide, Fred Flintstone like foot and wide width Chacos are the only sandal that fit. I do not even look at at other sandals any more, I just order another pair Chacos.

A lot of Arch Suppport - by , Jun 10, 2016
4/ 5 Stars
I bought these for a trip to Spain that I'll be making in June. I'm going to be doing a lot of walking, so I knew that I needed a comfortable shoe with a lot of arch support. I've heard rave reviews about Chacos, and everyone at my university wears them, so I figured I'd give them a shot. I love them! They fit well, and I really like the aesthetic of these shoes. The only thing that I dislike is the lack of selection in the wide-style shoes. But luckily, I found a style that I like, so I'm more than satisfied!

Great foot protection for extended wearing, hiking, general outdoor versatility . - by , Jun 09, 2016

Supportive soles and arch support. Excellent for comfortable hiking on maintained trails. Versitle as can be used with socks by folding under the toe loop. Great for water wear and scrambling from boat to shore with excellent security using toe loops without socks. Highly recommend.

The sandals were fine, but I didn't like the toe loop. - by , Jun 07, 2016

The sandals themselves were fine. Good quality. Nice support. My only complaint was the toe loop. I thought I would like the loop because I am accustomed to thing flip flops. It is a completely different sensation, and I did not like it. I am returning the Z2s and purchasing the Z1s instead. My advice would be to see if you have a friend with a similar size that would let you borrow their sandals to try out the toe loop for a day or two.

Chacos's reply

That is good advice. Everybody has different taste! Thank you.

The wide is so much better for my feet. I wish I didn't have to special order them for other color options.

I have very small, wide feet for a man and usually have a very difficult time being fitted for a shoe. Chaos are completely adjustable, allowing for a great fit the first time!

Straps tighten up on my wide flat foot, and the luvseat takes time for foot to just to. - by , May 26, 2016

The only problems I had was that the straps tighten up on my feet and big toe when doing excessive walking or running, which honestly, some say they can run in these bad boys, but disagree, at least with my foot type. I am flat footed so the Luvseat caused some discomfort on my arches, but after some time (like a week or two) my foot became accustomed to the Chaco design and the sandal is now quite comfortable. My foot is different from others, I have wide flat feet and understand that this review doesn't apply to every one, but keep in mind if your foot is different from the average foot, try them on in person first. Most of the people wearing the products in pictures are models with perfect feet, just for thought ;)

Toe strap? YES. - by , May 13, 2016

The toe strap is key in these sandals. My previous Chaco purchase was a men's regular Z1 with no toe strap that I wore for a week in the boundary waters in MN: hiking, carrying heavy packs, in and out of the water all day, and I had blisters galore. Since then, I bought a size smaller, with a toe strap, in a wide fit and these are fantastic for my feet. Much easier on my pressure points where I previously had blisters. These are extremely comfortable shoes.
