A great sandal - by , Jul 29, 2019
3/ 5 Stars
I bought these sandals for my husband who wears a wide size 10-1/2. After reading reviews I bought size 10 but they were impossible for him to put on so I ordered an 11 which are a better fit, although I wish these came in half sizes. If you’re a half size and have wider feet I would suggest you go up to the next size. Hopefully these sandals will last as long as my last pair of Chico’s which finally gave up their “oomph” after 11 years of constant wear over 3 continents.

This is the best product I have purchased in a long time - by , Jul 26, 2019

I LOVE CHACOS. The shoes are comply flexible yet great for the outdoors. My family wanted to go camping and we had no Sandler’s for the family camp. We wanted a saddle especially for the boys that was comfy and protect the toes and still let air in. Most shoes just were not cutting us when we went to the shoe store. Then while watching some videos we found chacos! They were advertised to be the greatest shoes for camping. So I purchased a pair for everyone and they were perfect. My husband loved them my son loved them even my daughters loved them. Thanks Chacos!!

Chaco gets meshy with a full-coverage "shandal" that still breathes - by , Jul 22, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
The upper is what makes this product shine. It's the lightweight mesh knit material you find in some running shoes, but with a super reinforced toe that feels like it won't fall apart in the gnarly, techy stuff. These have a fresh style I think Chaco has really nailed; I showed them to my sister, who is a Chaco fan, and she said, "Hey, that IS a Chaco under there." I prefer the feel of this upper and sole together over another brand's "shoe-style sandal" I tried on. The Chaco sole and footbed felt more comfortable from an ergo standpoint, while still being super lightweight (I had a pair of Chacos years ago, and these are way lighter than those). Also, the colors are way cool. I went with the Wax Black, and it's really sharp looking. Gum rubber and mint green accents with multi-colored but subtle black mesh? Yes, please. Pros - Light, airy, supportive, and protective compared to traditional sandal. Stylish and sporty look that I may have snuck into a casual office environment once already (hey, it's closed toe!). The back strap is also really comfortable; it supports you but feels like you aren't wearing anything. Cons - A tad harder to get on (expect to have to pull the back up and over your heel, but it is still not that hard), still less ventilating than a sandal, and we'll see how the woven material wears compared to a typical bombproof Chaco nylon strap. Bottom line: Similar application to full-coverage shoe-sandal ("shandal"?) hybrids but with a tad more ability to keep out debris due to the full mesh toe. They're definitely not a slip on like your grab-and-go flip flops, but I still prefer these to shoes and socks any day of the summer!

Just what I needed - by , Jul 22, 2019

I needed some slip-ons with great arch support. All my other footware have insoles that help my balance and posture. I need the same for sandals. This product is just right for me. They slip on easily and are very well ventilated. So they solved my problem and look great too

I used the Odyssey sandal this last week in the Salmon river, very comfortable. I was very impressed with the traction on the wet rocks, never slipped once. Great sandals

great sandals but don't work well if you have a high instep - by , Jul 02, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
I have been wearing Chacos for two decades and love them. I wanted a closed toe sandal, and was thrilled to see these on your website. They are well made, beautiful, and felt great once I had them on. The problem is that I have a high instep, and they are difficult to put on, they just didn't work for me. I still gave them 5 stars, because they are great sandals, and will work for most people. I hope a future closed-toe sandal has a larger opening.

Great Product - by , Jul 01, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
Used these shoes this weekend offshore fishing for a full day. Amid all the movement on a wet deck my feet held up well and I didn't slip. Never felt like taking them off, which is usually how I feel wearing shoes on deck. Didn't scuff either - added bonus. I didn't have the issues that others have had as far as getting my ankle in the back. I have pretty wide feet, so I was worried about it, but I sized up to a 12 like I do with other Chacos (I wear an 11.5) and the shoe felt roomy but secure. It only took a little pulling to get my heel in the shoe. Great shoe - what I expected. One *minor* gripe - I ordered the white version and the footbed shown is a light tan. The ones I received have a dark blue footbed. Really isn't even a gripe, just something to point out.

It took me 15 minutes to put them on that was the only -problem with them otherwise they were very comfortable. I hesitate every morning to put them on because of the back and how long it takes to go over the heel.

I have many Chacos and these are the best sandal to come along in quite a while. They fit well and look good. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable, light sandal with versatility.
