Excellent Boot! These boots are incredibly stylish and comfortable! The foot bed feels exactly like the sandals do, and the the leather is very durable as well as the stitching. I am not sure how i feel about the laced eyelets.....they look super good; I don't know how long they will hold up--but haven't had any issues yet at six months with almost daily wear. The uppers definitely mold to your feet over time increasing comfort. All in all a great boot. Another Chaco win!

Decent chukka The shoes look just as good and well made as shown in the photos and the workmanship is good. I've had them for a about three weeks. Haven't worn them every day but they get more comfortable each time I wear them. The contour of the soles replciate the feel of the Chaco flips I have; almost a moccasin-like feel, so that I look forward to wearing them. They look great with jeans or cords on dress-casual day at work. Overall I'm very pleased with them.

Amazingly comfortable and versatile, but not durable I can't say enough how comfortable these boots are! I had never tried it even heard of their sandals before, and came across these boots at REI for a winter trip to Chicago. Not only do they look and feel great, but they hold up to snow, ice, and granite (on subsequent trips to the Sierra). HOWEVER, after a little more than a year of use (54 weeks, to be exact), the shoelace snapped while going through airport security! That's when I noticed the lace "grommets" are loops made of the same material, and several were ready to give. I decided then to return the boots, but salvaged them for the remainder of that trip by tying my broken lace back together. If Chaco made the same boot with regular grommets I would DEFINITELY buy again. I can tell you that there is nothing near as stylish, comfortable, or versatile as this shoe- and I usually hate wearing boots.

Very comfortable, but disappointing on quality I purchased these boots just over 12 months ago and only wore them during fall and winter seasons. wore them twice so far this winter and the lace grommet broke. other lace grommets are pretty frayed and likely will break as well. not something I expected to fail first on a good pair of boots. I don't see how they could be repaired. Soles and leather uppers have held up well. Overall I loved the boots while they lasted and they were very comfortable, but I thought they would last longer than they did.

Flawed design These boots look quite nice - the eyelets being laced, rather than grommet, makes them stand out uniquely. Comfort-wise, they're OK, but suffer from much of the same issue that I've found with two other pairs of Chaco shoes: the sole is not quite as conforming and supportive as with the sandals, they're a bit large, and as with another pair of Chaco mid-rise boots, they lack ankle support meaning that I have to over-tighten to get them snug, which leads to digging in. This means I don't want to put them on day after day. Given this, I would wear them once or twice a week, while I'd love to wear them 5 days a week. Unfortunately... one of the eyelet laces broke only 2 months after I purchased the shoes. I guess I wore the shoes only a dozen-two dozen times in total. Chaco is not particularly informative as to where/how to repair these, as they are with their sandals. The shoe is essentially a paperweight at this point, at least till I can find a member of that dying breed: a cobbler. Ultimately, I've been disappointed with Chaco's foray into full footwear.
