52 Days in India

The rock in this photo apparently represents the exact geographical center of India. It's located in Nagpur, an otherwise relatively unremarkable urban hub of about 2.4 million people.
With a week left to travel and a five hour layover between two long bus rides, snapping this photo made me feel as if I might have soaked up at least some of what a diverse, teaming country like India has to offer. The sandals in the photo were stolen out of my checked backpack during the last leg of my journey home. This is their memorial - they did me proud. I hope their new owner feels the same way.
