The theme of my life is Endless Summer Camp.... and I pride myself on being able to wear sandals nearly every day of the year. Home is Canada, so that's not easy, but I've been traveling each winter to Mexico... starting by kayak at age 19, paddling from Vancouver to Mazatlan on the ocean.
The past three years I have also been developing schools for kids in Uganda, but I hated school, so I called them Endless Summer Camp. On our site ( www.actionheronetwork.net )you can see a video I made recently showing the kids at our school in the garden and going to get bamboo that we'll use to make bunk beds. Volunteers are needed, so please help share our story... 170 kids and a beautiful rural community will be happy to have guests.
Chaco sponsored me with sandals for my kayak trip, which I greatly appreciate. These ones have lasted a couple years. Keep making quality!
I hear gun shots and screaming in the streets... time to go for walk. Holy crap... a lot of screams and shots... maybe not. A strike is in progress. Crazytown!
