I am currently serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador. My mother recently came to visit and I took her to one of my favorite beaches. I left my chacos on the beach with my mom and went for a walk while she took a nap. I came back just as the tide carried away my beautiful chacos. I was able to rescue one, but alas, the other was taken by the sea. I realize that my remaining chaco is not in this picture. That is because I sent it back to the U.S. with my mother to be replaced. This is, however, the beach that swallowed my chaco. It seems silly to buy a whole new pair of chacos when I still have one perfectly good one. It just needs a new mate.
