Muddy in Montana

I was on a ten day canoe expedition following the Lewis and Clark trail on the Missouri River in Montana when this picture was taken. It had been raining most of the trip, and the river began to rise, creating the worst flooding the river basin had seen in hundreds of years. The banks of the river became extremely muddy, and with every step, we would sink to our knees. This picture shows the inches of thick mud that constantly clung to my Chacos. But our crew survived the flooding, and so did my Chacos! There's nothing better than exploring the Lewis and Clark trail in muddy Chacos!
