My Baja Expedition

I went on a recent expedition to Baja for a master's class. As a teacher, I didn't follow the directions which were to bring CLOSED TOED HIKING BOOTS! Instead, I brought this amazing, new pair of Chacos I bought a week before, the green Vibram Yampas. Against suggestion I went on four and five hour hikes through desert landscapes choc-ful-o-cactus in my Chacos and they performed great!
The thick soles protected my feet from giant cactus spines, the grippy bottom kept me on my feet while hopping from one slippery rock to the next, and the arch support kept me from complaining about achy feet. I took this picture at the top of a mountain around Bahia de Los Angelos, Baja California because I was determined to share with the world the awesomeness of these shoes. Although the expedition is over, I have decided to spend the rest of the summer in my Chacos and my friends all comment about how great they are! I've owned other popular hiking sandals but these take the cake! Oh, did I mention that I wore them every minute of every day for 3 weeks and NOT ONE BLISTER!!!! I think this is because you can adjust how tight or loose they are.
Way to go Chacos, you set a new standard for hiking sandals. I don't recommend going on a hiking trip without hiking shoes, but I do recommend these Chacos!!!
