Solid, but it's no EcoTread
By krc333 11/4/2013

I've been wearing the EcoTread or Flipvibes flips for at least 6 years now and I was excited to see that the Fathom was designed to be light-weight and near ground. Unfortunately it seems to be the exact opposite. The heel seems to be much thicker and heavier than the EcoTread flip. I feel like I'm dragging my heels when walking in the Fathom. After wearing them for the last two weeks they have gotten more comfortable but in the future I'll stick to the EcoTread or FlipVibe. I go through about two pairs a year so it's will be interesting to see how these hold up as well. I also think these might be slightly larger than the Eco or Vibe flips which might explain why they feel thicker in the heel. I always wear a 13 and I bet I could have worn a 12 in the Fathom.

Chaco's Reply: We are sure that these will hold up just as long as your older beloved sandals. This is a great addition to your Chaco closet, and we are happy you are quite comfortable with them!
