Y2 Yampa Sandal
By George Slaton 1/13/2014

I had never worn sandals until I bought my first pair of Chacos three years ago. I found them to be comfortable beyond anything I had anticipated. They were very supportive of my foot and arch. So more recently I bought the Y2 Yampa Sandals to wear more frequently and in areas which called for a lot of walking. Once again, the comfort is beyond anything I've experienced before. The straps and toe loop keep my foot bound firmly to the base of the shoe, allowing for no unwelcome movement. They are great for walking on uneven ground, giving you a lot of confidence in maintaining balance and taking the next step. I will continue buying Chacos and recommending them to friends.

Chaco's Reply: Thanks for being such an awesome Chaconian. We really appreciate all of your support throughout the years, and we look forward to your next adventure!!

Simply Awesome!
By SoCal Surf Runner (Orange County, CA) 1/10/2014

To toe strap, or not to toe strap? That question has been answered. I had the privilege of visiting the Big Island of Hawaii this past summer and when you visit the Big Island you do a lot of walking. I had my trusty Chacos with me but without the toe strap I found myself wanting better security and stability. Enter the Yampa. Upon returning from Hawaii I decided to give the toe strap a try and I am glad I did. I have taken these sandals out on the mountain trails here in Southern California and they perform wonderfully. I have found that I don't feel as much lower leg fatigue with the toe strap. All in all I am very pleased with these sandals and I can't say enough good things about them.

Enjoying these new kicks!
By reluctanthippie 9/25/2013

I have always been skeptical about buying Chacos. I just couldn't bring myself to drop $100 bucks on sandals. However, I was in the market for some new shoes to wear fly-fishing in the river during the summer months. A friend came over to the house, and I commented on his new-looking Chacos. His response: I've had these for 6 years! I was sold. I've had the Z/2 Yampas for a month now, and I honestly don't think I've worn another pair of shoes since they have come in the mail. Great in the river, and the neutral colors allow me to wear them with almost anything. Hope they last me for many, many years!

Chaco's Reply: That is awesome you finally joined the Chaco-sphere and now wear these everywhere! A great thing about this style too, is that any of the Z series can be repaired by our awesome ReChaco team. They can change out webbing, repair/replace webbing, and resole them. We hope these make it though many, many fly-fishing seasons!

What's a Chaconian?

You are Chaco!
