I like to call myself someone that is "indoorsy." I tend to avoid nature and heat and being outside just does not exhilarate me as much as it does for others. However, because summer is coming up and I do not like how flip-flops lack support and always get grungy really fast, I needed to invest in something that would last and is comfortable. These Chaco's were the answer to my prayers. My feet have never felt more comfortable in my life. They actually look really good in almost anything I wear, which is very surprising to me, because I am an avid TOMS, Sperry's, and even Converse wearer. I am a huge convert and I cannot wait to buy my next pair!

I bought my first pair of Chacos about two weeks ago. I had been thinking about it for a long time, but the price kept making me balk. Let me tell you - totally worth it. It took me about half an hour to get the straps comfortable the first time, but I haven't had to adjust them more than half an inch since then. The shoes slip on easily, fit snugly, and give me a lot more secure range of motion than most generic athletic sandals. I'm firmly convinced the real game-changer is the toe-strap; it keeps the front of the shoe from catching on things and folding underneath my foot (anyone who's owned cheap athletic sandals in the past knows this phenomenon, especially if you tried to run or climb stairs). Once the soles were broken in, they conformed really nicely to my feet and became pretty flexible, the sole "gives" a little on each step rather than offering really firm resistance that can make your feet sore. I wear my chacos all day, walking from my apartment to my college campus for classes and back again, and at the end of the day I am still comfortable and very proud of my dirty, z-tanned feet. For everything you'll do this summer, chacos beat sneakers a million to one. I am a happy convert.

How do you most use this product?: walking all over college campus

These sandals are very expensive, but, in my opinion, they are worth every penny. They look unique and frequently raise the eyebrows of bystanders. Once broken in, they provide all day comfort. Unfortunately, the straps take some getting used to. At first, I had to re-adjust the straps every morning and sometimes during the day; however, after about a week I found the perfect "looseness" to slip them on and off while still securing my feet. Also, they are surprisingly heavy. Even the lighter weight yampas are heavy. This becomes routine and unnoticeable after about a week. Overall, these sandals are the best answer for on-the-go footwear that is able to get wet, durable, and comfortable. One even develops the coveted "Z" tan after a while that is a sure fire conversation starter.
