I've been sporting the Z/1 Unaweep model for almost four years now. I wear my Chacos pretty much everywhere, rain, snow or sun. After my last pair I decided to switch over to the Z/2 model. At first I was nervous about them, they were originally very difficult to get on and the toe loop took a while to get used to. But after I broke them in I now realize I can never go back to the Z/1. I wear mine pretty much everywhere and they're just what I need. I recommend the Z/2 very highly.

Can't say enough. Wear them EVERYDAY from May through November. Work and play in them. Have the chaco tan to prove it. Wife still laughs at that, but I think she might be jealous. Anyway. Pair number 4. Get about 2 full years out of them, and they are just done. Could have them resoled, but it is only about $25 more to have brand new ones if you watch for the sales. Used to be really happy when it was a colorado company, but still great shoes even though they moved! Would not ever trade them for other sport/water/work sandals.

I bought these Z/2s as I prepped for a 4-day river trip on the Green River. I have always had Chaco flips and cross-flips, but this was my first pair of full-on sandals. I love them! I took them on the river trip, and they performed great. Since then, I have taken them up two mountains, one more river, and a four-day trip to Disneyland with the family--in addition to the daily abuse I give them just kicking around town. Next year I am going to Uganda for a year to do Anthropological research. These puppies will be coming with me for sure! I trust my feet to none other.
