Amazing for everything (except quicksand)
By Anonymous 6/24/2014

I've owned two pairs of these now; and oh boy, they are FANTASTIC! Each pair has lasted me about six years and they have served. I take these sandals everywhere with me. I even once wore them down through the Virgin River narrows in Zion National Park. They performed admirably. The only thing I don't recommend these sandals for is quicksand. I was once caught waste deep in quicksand and the sandals amplified the suction of the deep mud as I pulled myself to safety. I was also concerned about the sandals being pulled off my feat while I worked my way out. Even though these aren't the ideal shoes for quicksand, I proudly give my Chacos 5 huge stars.

Great sandals
By DetroitMike 6/12/2014

I have been buying sandals at Target for the past several years. They cost $20-$30 and last a year, maybe two, before I toss them. I was apprehensive about these Chaco sandals because they cost so much more than that. However, a few months back my doctor diagnosed my foot problem as Morton's neuroma and told me to get orthotic inserts, which I did for all my shoes, even my house shoes and flip flops. I noticed a big improvement in how my feet felt. So I wanted to get warm weather sandals that did the same. These Z/1s do the job very well. They are easy to adjust (and readjust, if necessary), look great, and are very comfortable. Thumb way up!

Virtually Indestructible!!!
By Anonymous 6/7/2014

As far back I can remember I have been a river junkie, Paddling almost every time the water levels where high enough and in the Ozarks that is Feb-Aug, My first sandles were tevas and I loved them. And every year I would buy and wear out a new pair . Then after collage I decided to be a raft guide in Tenn and that was brutal on sandles. Most of I other guides I noticed had on Chacos so I gave them a shot. While not as comfortable at first, they eventually became an extent ion of my foot. That same pair lasted me 3 more years as raft guide and to this day still remain my "going on an adventure" shoes, and that was almost 7yrs ago. They have stepped in 4 oceans, all 50 states, cental and South America, the Gallapogos, Indonisia, and across Europe. They are still going strong with no end in sight. I love my Chacos and I will be in Chacos until I can no longer walk

Chaco's Reply: Your Chacos travel more than most folks! You and your sandals are living the dream. Feel free to post a pic on our Facebook or Twitter of your Chaco adventure.
