We bought these and hoped they'd be great for hiking after backpacking all day. I found the double strap frustrating to put on, because the double straps around the toe took a lot of effort to put on. My feet slipped quite a bit in the humid environment of the southeast mountains, and although the sole is the right size for my foot (size 9), the heel strap is not adjustable...which was a problem for me, because after my other straps were adjusted, it was loose off the back of my heel and I couldn't sinch it down....selling them because I just couldn't make them comfortable on my flatter feet.

These sandals are absolutely the best things I have ever laid my hands on. Once I got them broke in (just like ever other shoe) they are like second skin. Now I can't stand to wear my tennis shoes! All I want to do it slip on my Chacos! I'm a definite Chaco nerd you could say! I plan on taking them to the ends of the earth. Starting with Peru this summer! I have no doubt that my Chacos can make it anywhere and everywhere. My Chacos were immediately my feet's best friend. A definte must buy! Much Chaco Love!
