ZX/1® Unaweep Sandal

I found these on clearance (it was their last pair) in a little shoe store in Eastern WA. I figured I was headed off to a camp to work with middle school aged kids and if they broke I wouldn't really mind. From the minute I put them on I knew these were great sandals and I would care. I have sensitive arch and these formed to mine beautifully. The tread kept me sturdy even on the river rock at camp. I love how I can wear them all year round with socks in the winter and without in the summer and all it takes is an adjustment of the straps. I am buying a second pair, different design from the first and having my first pair repaired! I will never be without my Chacos!

In 2011 I was given the opportunity to work as an outdoor guide in Oregon. Living in Ohio I actually had never heard of Chacos. Part of my job is to take students white water rafting and in the process of searching for a river sandal I settled on a pair of Keens that were on sale. After flying out to Oregon I definitely regretted the Keens and wished I had known about Chacos. Almost everyone on our staff has them and after borrowing a pair from a friend when I forgot my river shoes at home I was in love with them. So of course I had to buy my own. I bought the ZX1/Unasweep with Brownie webbing and love them. They are perfect to wear on the river and I have enjoyed some hikes in them as well. I wear them almost every day, rain or shine. However, being from Ohio where it snows during the winter season I am excited to also be able to try a new pair of Chacos boots when I go home for the Christmas season to visit with family. These shoes were sized as expected and after watching an instructional video on how to fit your sandal I found them easy to fit for my feet as well.

For a girl that doesn't wear shoes very often, I wear these literally EVERYWHERE! They're comfortable and go with pretty much any casual attire. I can't wait to take them to college this fall! Although they do take some breaking in, they're totally worth it!
